European defense organization selects IFS Applications |

(8/10/2010 | News | Linköping) IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announced today an agreement with a European defense organization. The contract, signed in cooperation with its global defense partner, is valued at more than $5 million for IFS Applications licenses as well as three years maintenance and support. IFS Applications will be used to support and manage defense assets to enable improved capability and reduced through-life service and maintenance costs by better control and coordination of inventory and asset maintenance schedules and routines. “This is yet another important win for IFS, following the recently announced contract with the U.S. Army,” said Iain Green, CEO of IFS Defence Ltd. “With this deal we add yet another country to our list of customers in the defense vertical.” Aerospace & Defense is a targeted industry vertical for IFS. IFS Applications’ strength in enterprise asset management (EAM), maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) and defense manufacturing is complemented by its fully integrated project tracking and product data management (PDM) capabilities. IFS Applications is a best-practice solution for fleet management, MRO and supply chain management in Aerospace & Defense. IFS customers within the Aerospace & Defense industry include the US, British and Norwegian defense organizations as well as the Eurofighter consortium. Commercial MRO shops and operators include Finnair, Bristow Helicopters, Aero-Dienst GmbH, Hawker Pacific, and Lufthansa Technik Qantas. In addition, IFS provides solutions to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) such as Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, BAE Systems, Saab, and GE Aviation. About IFS
