IFS goes live in less than 4 months in Otter Asia. The project in Otter Controls has been divided into 2 phases (Phase 1 for Manufacturing and Distribution modules and phase 2 for Financial modules). Phase 1 of the project was officially kicked off on 21 Jan 2005 for the operations in Hong Kong and Shenzhen simultaneously. With dedicated support from both the client side and the consultant side, the project team has a good mix of experts in different functional areas. The management of Otter Controls has also made prompt decision on the implementation approach such as conforming to the standard functions and reports of IFS system which greatly helped the effectiveness and efficiency of the implementation process. ECL has helped carrying out the management study, business process mapping, user training, user practice support, user acceptance test and live run preparation support.

The next phase (IFS Financials) will start in June 2005.
